Which is better – Natural or man made?

Man made stone is uniform & consistent with its colours
Natural has more variation & character

Is granite more expensive than man made?

Not necessarily. You can get some natural granite the same prices as man made.

What determines the price of stone?

Availability & demand

Is marble suitable for kitchen tops?

In general, marble is not recommended for kitchens as they are softer & scratch more easily than granite.

How much per square metre?

There is no set cost per square metre. Hand labours & site conditions have to be considered.

How much overhang is allowed without support?

As a general guideline – less then 300mm – no additional support required.
